Search Engine Optimization is a science of tools
and techniques that enhance your website by ensuring it's listed for
certain search terms above your competitors' sites. Done properly,
SEO will increase visitors to your site(s) from engines like Google,
Yahoo!, and MSN. SFTCC's experts focus on your website to deliver
the highest search listing possible on these search engines,
increasing your visibility and site visitors, and maximizing your

The good news about the web is that there are millions of pages
available, waiting to present users with information, with search
engines being the most common tool for gathering this data.
The bad news is that you're competing with hundreds or thousands of
other sites in your industry to get the attention of searchers.
The higher you place on search engine listings for your industry's
keywords, the more visitors you'll attract.
The catch? To rank highly, your site needs to convince search
engines it's worth preferred placement. That's where SFTCC's team of
Search Engine Optimization experts come in. By making your site more
visible and attractive to search engines, we market your site to
them and their valuable indices.
Search engines are waiting to
give you some of the best publicity possible, for free! Why not
take full advantage of this incredible opportunity?
What is SEO?
To understand SEO, it's important to know where it came from. In the
early 1990's, when the Internet and World Wide Web were starting
out, thousands of eager entrepreneurs realized this new entity was
going to be a major factor in how business would be conducted in the
future. With all these new pages cropping up, Yahoo! decided to
catalog the pages for easy referencing. For a one time fee of $200,
any page could be listed in the Yahoo! listings.
Afterwards, Yahoo! began implementing what's known today as a search
engine. Unlike the paid listings, the search listings were done by
automated programs, known as spiders, which "crawled" the Web to
search and categorize every site they could find.
When website owners gradually discovered ways to manipulate these
listings to increase their chances of appearing at or near the top by presenting site information in a manner the spiders most easily understood, thereby making them search engine friendly SEO was born.
